Direct from Headmaster’s Desk:
It is an unparalleled privilege to be the Teacher –in- Charge of Bishnupur High School, one of the oldest schools in the country. After the tragic demise of our honourable headmaster Late Amal Kumar Biswas, the great responsibility was entrusted with me. Besides carrying a rich heritage of knowledge, culture and precision, Bishnupur High School has been maintaining its peerless standard in matters academic. Established in 1879 the then ‘Bishenpur High School’ has established itself as an academia par excellence.
The importance of education in our life can not be described in words. To quote Tagore, “The highest education is that which does not merely give us information but makes our life in harmony with all existence.” Memorising and ruminating answers in the examination hall are not what education implies. The ultimate goal of education is to enkindle the knowledge inherent in everyone.
I have noticed in our students a vibrant dynamism, a magnetism to learn. Moreover, I feel myself lucky to work with the community of teachers we have. Our teachers are committed to the cause of enlightening the tender selves of the pupils, and helping them to learn.
Thanking you.
